Pregnancy Mentor
HI, I’m Cheryl and I’m a midwife. Beyond the pregnancy and birth, it’s my mission to help women thrive through this major transformation in their lives.
When I think about WHY I became a midwife, I always come back to my mom. She was finishing college when she had me, and then my dad left shortly afterwards. As a single mom, she didn’t have it easy. She worked hard to support us. She was always exhausted, and yet she always showed up for me 100%. Now, as an adult, I realize what it must have taken her to be the kind of mother that she was, despite everything.
After midwifery school, for the last 8 years, I’ve been serving women one-to-one. But I knew that there were so many more women that are missing out on having exposure to midwifery care in their pregnancies. As midwives, we go beyond the numbers and dive into what is really going on in pregnancy and postpartum. Besides healthy pregnancy conversations, we get to know our clients- their deepest fears, worries, anxieties, joys and more. Like I said- REAL CONVERSATIONS.
I get that many women want or need to have an Ob/Gyn and that’s okay. But, midwives are the GOLD STANDARD around the world. I wanted a way to be able to reach more women and give them the best of both worlds. So, I teamed up with two additional midwives and Your Thriving Pregnancy ™ was born.
